Gianna Tesone’s work explores the body as both a vessel and archive — holding emotion, memory and information. Working in an array of painterly techniques with viscerally sculptural components, she takes a “Both/And” approach that harmonizes tension between physicality and perception, showing the visceral nature of the interconnectedness of the body and psyche. This work takes breath from original creation and the most rudimentary form of art: anatomy and physiology. With natural design and scientific disciplines informing the process, the work speaks both of intimacy and omniscience through orchestrated color, an interplay of materials and instinct-driven methods.

She holds a BFA, specializing in painting, creative theory and art history from Point Loma Nazarene University and mentorship of internationally acclaimed artist Ty Nathan Clark. She has exhibited in museums, galleries, and neo-gallery settings of interdisciplinary fields in the United States and has partaken in international artist residencies. She actively works in collaborative settings alongside other artists, musicians, designers and entrepreneurs across the country. Gianna is eagerly pursuing research and educational initiatives to foster and strengthen advocacy for the arts and creative pursuits, with aim to expand and strengthen connections across the United States and internationally in 2025.
